Our Parents
OVERVIEW
Parents are our best asset
We believe education is a deeply collaborative partnership built on positive relationships and a strong sense of community. Our active Parent-Teacher community ensures constant, open communication between families and school leadership. Through regular feedback sessions, workshops, and school volunteering opportunities, our parents play an essential role in enriching the daily learning experience.

Parent Communication Channels
We utilise targeted channels to deliver information effectively based on urgency and school level. For daily updates, behavioural points, and direct messaging in the Primary Years, we use ClassDojo, while Secondary School urgent reminders and transport updates are managed via teacher-led WhatsApp Class Groups. Official administrative notices, policies, and fee matters are sent directly via Email, while Google Forms streamlines registrations and surveys. Parents can celebrate student achievements on our official Social Media pages (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn). For urgent welfare matters, we connect via Telephone Calls, or arrange private Face-to-Face Meetings for confidential, collaborative discussions.

Parent Engagement Initiatives
We invite parents to immerse themselves in school life through structured academic and community events. We kick off the year with Orientation Programmes for new families, followed by specialised briefings on Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE pathways. Strategic town halls are hosted for major rollouts, such as the Bring Your Own Approved Device (BYOAD) Chromebook Programme. Parents are always welcome to celebrate student milestones at Sports Day, STEM exhibitions, and concerts, alongside interactive Academic Showcases for Pre-School. Regular school-wide surveys and leadership dialogues ensure parent feedback actively shapes our continuous improvement.

Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)
Formal PTMs are conducted twice annually at the end of Term 1 and Term 2 to provide a holistic overview of your child’s journey. During these sessions, parents receive academic progress reports and collaborate directly with teachers on strengths, learning targets, and personalised intervention strategies. These meetings also address student wellbeing, attendance, and social-emotional growth. Beyond these scheduled sessions, parents or teachers may request targeted consultations at any point during the academic year whenever additional pastoral or academic support is required.

Coffee Mornings & Networking Sessions
To foster an approachable and collaborative school culture, we periodically host informal Parental Engagement Sessions and Coffee Mornings with the Principal and School Leadership Team. Held both online and face-to-face, these relaxed gatherings give parents a direct line to school leaders to share organic feedback, understand upcoming institutional developments, and ask questions. It is also an excellent forum for parents to network and build a stronger, mutually supportive Sri Murni community.

Volunteer Programmes & Involvement
We encourage parents to be active stakeholders in our vibrant campus life by contributing their time and talents to various school initiatives. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with event logistics on Sports Day, supporting literacy as Buddy Readers at home, and driving school-organised charitable and fundraising campaigns. Parents can also apply to support the teaching staff as adult chaperones during educational school excursions and field trips.
